Valencia CF will face Elche CF with the Senyera
Valencia CF, along with PUMA, has brought back the 'Senyera' this season, the historic kit that represents so much for Valencians and Valencianistas. Baraja's team will be looking for a victory in Elche to change the team's dynamic in the penultimate regional derby of the current season.

The Senyera debuted as a Valencia CF official kit in the 1970s, coincidentally against Real Madrid, but this was not the first time that the team wore the design. In the 1950s and 1960s it was used for various friendlies. Previously, in the 1930s the Senyera had appeared as a detail on one of the alternative kits to the traditional black and white.
At the end of the 1970s, the Senyera took a definitive place in the history of Valencia CF, as with that shirt the team won the 1979 Copa del Rey after beating Real Madrid in the final.

Since then, the Senyera has had an important emotional connection among Valencianistas, and the different clothing suppliers over the years have opted for the Valencian flag in various different versions.
